ABA Special Education Teacher Position- Stratford: Responsible for academic instruction and behavior management for students with a variety of disabilities. Supervise ABA Therapists to ensure completion of all daily responsibilities. Assist consultants in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and in the development and implementation of behavior support plans. Knowledge of Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching is preferred. Clinical Coordinator - Adult Services: Responsibilities include: Attending Individual Planning meetings; supervising the development, implementation and analysis of all behavioral interventions and reductive programs; in-servicing staff in ABA and related subjects; performing regularly scheduled direct observations of facility managers and direct care staff to ensure quality and consistency of program implementation and adherence to agency philosophies; coordination of clinical programming with day services; attendance at facility staff meetings, supervision of program evaluations and revisions presenting information concerning resident programming to regulatory agencies; maintaining documentation as required of residents' programming and staff training; all other responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Program Supervisor - Adult Services. While candidates with a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience will be considered, the preferred candidates will have a Masters Degree in a relevant field (or be currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program) and prior experience in ABA with individuals with developmental disabilities and physically handicapping conditions. State Director: Our client, The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc., has asked us to assist them in their efforts to recruit a State Director for their Connecticut Operation located in Woodbridge, CT.  The organization is considered one of the premiere non-profit advocacy and service providers in the areas of intellectual disabilities, autism, children's services and behavioral disorders.
The successful candidate will possess previous top leadership experience in a similar organization, i.e. providing services to adults and children with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders; proven skills in supervision and in management of teams of professionals whose programmatic responsibilities are complex in nature; solid working knowledge of budgeting, organization financials, Federal and State financing, contract management, and collections for services rendered; skills in advocacy, public speaking and group leadership; and extensive experience working with programs that employ Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a variety of different milieus.
Candidates should have a proven record of working successfully as a team leader and a team player at a Corporate and programmatic/State level, in an agency where participatory management at all levels is a highly prized value.
At least a Masters Degree in Social Sciences, Special Education or a Clinical Discipline, and a history of success in progressively responsible organizational management positions are required.  At least 5 years of experience running an organization ($15 million or larger) whose mission and values are related to the Institute's: i.e. client centered, quality services in an employee supportive environment.
